Washing your down jacket

Yes, it can go in the washer. Use a down wash, a gentle cycle and a long, low dryer cycle with balls.

  1. Close all zippers and turn the jacket inside out.
  2. Use a front-loading washer on a gentle cycle with a down-specific wash (no regular detergent or softener).
  3. Rinse twice to remove all soap.
  4. Tumble dry on low with two or three clean tennis or dryer balls for 2–3 hours, until no clumps remain.

How often to wash

Once or twice a season is plenty. Washing too often wears the shell fabric; not washing at all lets body oils flatten the down so it insulates less.

Can I exchange boots I've already worn outside once?

PipBot10:13 AM

Yes — footwear worn outdoors can be exchanged for a different size within 30 days if the soles show light wear only. Here's how:
